The Uptown Savages are a six piece band based out of Milwaukee, WI. Their music combines the timeless sounds of the roadhouse and honky-tonk. rockabilly, swamp blues, country, R&B, and more, all played true to their roots, yet fresh, vital and contemporary to today's audience. The Uptown Savages authentic rockin' style transcends fads and trends because their music is, when all the labels are stripped away, what Rock N' Roll is all about.

Their list includes classics and obscurities, along with a number of originals. One thing is constant, they're all injected with a rockin' dose of Uptown Savagery. The bands originals take a fresh approach to the traditional subjects of roadhouse music - you'll be dancing with the red headed waitress from the truckstop in one song, crying in your beer because she left you for your best friend in the next, and then back out on the dance floor with her little sister as the night goes on.

The Uptown savages provide an exciting show for any music fan. The sit down crowd is entertained all night long - the Savages are expert musicians and master showmen. However, put most of the chairs away because once the band starts playing it's hard for even the non-dancers to sit still. Every number keeps the dance floor filled.

The Savages have become well established playing some of the largest venues in the midwest including the 1st International Rockin' 50s Fest. Their first CD, Rocket Drivin' Daddy has had internationl distribution and has suprised the band with unexpected sales figures throughout Europe, Russia, and Australia.

The band's currently recording their second CD, optimistically scheduled for release this spring. As with the last, it's a mix of originals and some of the bands favorite obscurities from the 50s.
